A glimpse of something really good
Yoda and Yodasluke spent some quality time with my 17 year old son Taylor on Saturday afternoon. My son has never been fitted for clubs and was hitting standard length Ping orange dots, which are quite flat. Taylor is six foot two with very long arms. These clubs put him in a stance that was very bent over, right arm off-plane at address, and in a tough position to make solid contact.

Once Taylor got in the right club it was time for some changes. A more upright stance. Right arm on plane. Balanced set up, slight bend in the waist. He also had to stop flipping the club at the bottom. His previous ball flight were ballooning shots which were hard to control.

The transformation was nothing short of amazing. He was busting the ball like I have never seen. My brother in law and I were watching in the background, just shaking our heads. You have to understand that Taylor really doesn't play much golf. I doubt he's been on the practice range in over a year. I'm pretty sure this has rejuvenated his interestest in the game.

Thanks Lynn and Ted! We might have a piece of clay on our hands.

Taylor Clark.

Today...clay.

Tomorrow...a statue.

Later...

A statue "without wax."
