Sony Open In Hawaii / PGA TOUR / January 12-15, 2012
Saturday is Moving Day on the PGA TOUR. And yesterday -- Saturday -- Brian Gay moved . . .
65!
Midway through todays final round, he's 2-under for the day and 9-under for the tournament.
One shot back.
We need a win.
For the year and for the record.
And, lest we forget . . .
For The Masters.
Go Brian!

Hi Yoda,
During Play today, the announcer mentioned that Kip is back on the Bag and Brian's wife said he has a new swing... When asked, she said the new swing is "Sexy"..... Hmm? I didn't know that "sexy" swings were part of your teaching philosophy.

Whatever they're working on it is clear it hasn't effected his putting!

Saw Kip's legs on 17 and knew it was him. Otherwise, didn't know. Glad he's back.
Heard Sir Nick and his Kimberly quote re the new 'sexy' swing. It's not something Brian and I have worked on.
Maybe someone new is on board. Or maybe just a new idea. Who knows?
The 'off season' is a long time.

Hawaiian Punch
BG shot a final round 67 for a tourney total of 270 and T-6. Not to mention a Tuesday direct deposit of $178,062.50, a very nice opening year payday. Still, the PGA TOUR is the Land of the Meateaters: Brian's 270 was shy only three shots -- less than one per round -- from $990,000.
We've since traded texts all round. Player, caddy, and coach. Two in Hawaii . . one manning the 'lower 48'.
Oh well . . .

I did wonder what Kip meant in his tweet (he referred to a swing change) I just assumed that you and BG worked on something new during the winter. Good start to the season.
