shanks on acquired motion and more
Hello all. Prior to coming over here to TGM, I was trying to implement the methods of a popular swing coach on youtube (shawnclement). He advocated a reverse K and rotary swing.

I'm not sure what happened but in practicing his methods at home and at the range, i've ingrained a pretty bad case of the shanks. I couldn't even hit a chip without either topping or shanking the ball. Several range sessions later, the problem continued to get worse. I've posted a video of one of the topped shots (which was far better than the rest of the bucket which were shanked).

Fast forward to last week, start of TGM. Got my right forearm on plane and using right forearm takeaway.

Things are pretty mechanical at the moment but i'm able to hit chips and a majority of acquired motion shots pretty solid. There is still the occasional shank in the acquired motion. However, anything further back and it's back to shanking and poor ball striking again. What am i doing in the top of my backswing or transition that screws everything up? I never had this problem before trying to implement the changes from shawn clement (it's been two weeks).

Not sure how to turn HTML on so the link is below.
