62 is correct. Despite breaking the course record (along with Will McKenzie), Jim did not receive any face time on T.V. :crybaby: . He sent me a text message last night that he is good to go today.:) He needs a good finish today and over the next two tournaments.

His 2nd 62 this year - both in the third round! Tough to make a living out there!

Not out of the woods yet

Although he finished ahead of Tiger Woods, a disappointing final round of even par 71, caused Jim to drop 15 spots to finish T-24:( . The check for $40,500 may help to ease the pain, but time is still running short, currently 153 on the money list with two events left to play.

After a really low round most players have a hard time doing it the next round ...
like 60 - 75. Mental?

As the round was unfolding, I thought the same thing.
Everyone is different. Tour players are no exception. He is still a rookie learning his way around. I am sure we will talk about it soon.

Mathematicians have a name for this phenomenon: Regression to the Mean. The principle (known also as Reversion to Mediocrity) is universal and exists in all of life, not just on the PGA TOUR. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regression_toward_the_mean

All my best to Jim Renner in this quest to keep his card.
