Learn the basic or specialised stroke?

I've decided to give Hitting a red hot go, but am not too sure how to best go about it. Should I continue to use the square-square plane and stance line combo and sqaure to the plane hip slide, or go straight into the customised hitting components?

Stay with the 12-1-0 Pattern, Nevermind. Monitor the Straight Plane Line of 10-5-A: Just Push instead of Pull.

thanks mate, will do :)

I haven't given up on swinging, but this diversion may just become my bread and butter =P~

When learning hitting, if you don't cross-line hip slide, my experience has shown you tend to pull the ball back to target.

So if you don't want to learn the hip slide, you may have to play for a slight pull. That's just me though.
