Good question, Patrick. Pure Horizontal Hinging (10-10-A) employs only a verticalhinge pin, and hence moves the blade of the hinge only in a horizontalplane -- like a swinging door. Given this characteristic, a Playeremploying this action could only move the club around the body in a"cone" shape -- a very limited action indeed. Dual HorizontalHinging, on the other hand, employs a second hinge -- the angled hinge -- thatpermits the the Sweetspot to trace the baseline of the Inclined Plane. Hencethe "dual action:" A Clubface that closes only, i.e., no layback, anda Sweetspot that rotates On-Plane.
