Instead of a horisontal hinge action for a high shot over something, is it just as well to have both an open stance and and have a very open club face at address (or use a very weak grip)?

Either way you can do what you say. The options are all open to you. |

By the way is it the bounce of the SW or the leading edge that hits the ground? |
Do all TGM players use vertical hinging (when they want to) or can one get away with another solution even if one has to make a high, short shot?
I find vertical hinging difficult. Maybe angled hinging gets the job done to get the ball high enough with a SW/LW, although it will roll a little more? By the way - is it the bounce of the SW or the leading edge that hits the ground in these types of shots? |
I have no idea if my 56¤ SW has a big enough bounce to want to hit the ground first or if it is better to let the leading edge do the work - except in the bunker (when the sand is not wet and hard), where it's best to let the bounce bounce out of the sand instead of digging deep into it.
