Game transformation

Hi,

my yellow book is on it's way, hence I couldn't wait to get out on the course today to see what it looks like what I feel.

My game seems to transform alot, where I put alot of multidirectional forces to the club previously, Im now able to swing simply.

I have examined that as long as I pay descent atttention to the setup and alignment, it works pretty well, the shots are going where planned, if I don't do so, well, guess what ;-)

Another thing is, my gap wedge is incredibly long sometimes.....one shot at 130Meters, I guess this is more a practise thing to bring this more regular to the planned distance of 105Meters.

Thus my long/mid irons, namely 4,5&6 are not on the spot, even hit perfectly I managed to squeeze 160m out of the 4 and 140 out of the 6, assuming as well, this needs more range practise in proper setup, other then that, I had the most beautiful 3 Woood since years and a couple of real good shots on the course.

No scores were counted as I was only after impact and ball flight, as long as I stick to the routine, I have a tiny little draw and I can fade the driver on purpose, the amount of fade was ok, still this needs some tuning as well, but generally I am very happy with what I examined today and would like to send a big thank you to the forum.

Looking forward going along the long and winding road

cheers

Frank

Nice start Frank. As soon as you get your book, there is a suggested order to begin studying. Don't try to bite off too much, too fast, follow that order!

For taking it to the course, please start with chapter 12-5 Basic Motion. They is THE KEY to learning great impact alignments. look, Look, LOOK !

Kevin, I will do for sure.

Thanks alot for your very valuable hints.

As well a special thanks to your quick hint with the right forearm alignment, it felt quiet odd for the first 100-300 shots and then it gets better, and it's definitely a great help in making crisp contact. But it feels to myselve a bit like Moe Norman, who proposed to aligne the forearms with the clubshaft similar way like in the impact fix?!?

However, the results are a great imrovement, I ordered the next net for the backyard to continue implementing these moves before I hit any ranges or courses.

cheers
Frank

A little like Moe Norman, although I think he had both forearms "on plane" at address. Round these parts we like to use Brian Gay as the example of Right Forearm On Plane.

Getting in this position requires a Level Left Wrist, that is the piece you need to ingrain in that computer!

Great Pictures, Kevin, helps alot. thanks a bunch.

Couldn't resist the opportunity and played a tournament round yesterday. Still bloody cold in my area around 0°C and still on wintergreens, but was able to score a 73 with 3 birdies.

I focussed especially on teh right forearm, and think this automatically brings the left wrist to level, hard to say now from memory, but it worked very well. As long as I do NOT COCK the left wrist in the backswing, I can swing as hard as I want and always make great contact.

Once I do try to get a bit further, I completely loos control, so from my feeling I can say I should look a bit like steve stricker at the moment, swingwise.

I wouldn't give it too much of value, since the ball went miles on the ground, but I had some real good shots during the day, I would say, more good ones then bad ones, able to hit 2 Par 5's in 2 and on 2 long Par 4's I had incredible pin seeking 3 irons.

The rest was "just solid", no big mistakes at all, besides 2 throwaway chips :-\ I'll work on that.

Since temperatures are anounced to go further down this week, I'll have a break from practise, hope to finally receive my ordered books and do some reading.

Cheers
Frank
