Taking the break out

VJ,

What is your advice regarding taking the "break" out of short putts? When should this be done? What guidelines would you offer?

Thanks!

:D

An uphill or level putt can be hit firmly to take some of the break out. For obvious reasons a downhill putt should probably not be hit really firm.

Again go back to the speed you "see" in your mind's eye. If you "see" a firm speed, commit to it and hit it.
