It's up to you
Wow, what a year you've had! And pilates should be fine if you have an instructor that understands the rehabilitative imperative that less is more as you begin. The biggest mistake I see in every modality of fitness is taking an injured and recovering individual and starting with a full blown program. The safest and most productive approach is to begin with a few predictable movements in a short period of time. Once your workout is 30 minutes then you begin to add movements one workout at a time until you've reached your full protocol. I know this is not how we all think. Most people go into the gym and start an hour with many sets and reps and often too much resistence. Get your body confidence back first and you'll feel much better in your process. As long as your doctor has given you the ok I would get started. I always suggest additional work but you have to start with the familiar. Good for you and welcome to the site. It's a dandy, don't you think? Vickie
