In the last ten years I have been trying to improve my golf swing with books, videos, stages, lessons with well known pros in my area. I was going up and down, from exultation to depression. My handicap was still at 14.
Last year, on Internet forums , I discovered some non "conventional" roads , and specialy Natural golf (Todd Graves's instruction). I ordered the CDs and have to admit that I was feeling good with this concept and made a lot of progress.
Then came The LIGHT. One night I found a very special mail on natural golf forum, from a certain Yoda. It took me some time to find that Yoda was Lynn Blake. Since that time I have bought HK book (bible) and I'm connecting every day.
Mr Yoda, I am quite sure that I'm not the only one on this site to think that you are bringing much more than technic. You are some kind of humanist and every -body can appreciate your passionate way to share your knowledge in your videos and in your mail. These qualities seem to be contagious : the quality and the spirit of the debates on your site are top rate. THANK YOU +++.
May I ask you a question? Some key points in the natural golf swing ("swing like Moe") are facing the ball at impact and keeping the right foot down as long as possible. It seems to me that we have some similarity in Moe Norman's and BenDoyle 's swings on these points

Thank you again and "May the force be with you" forever.

I hope you get to meet Yoda, when we travel to St. Andrews next year. No apologies necessary for the language. It looks like you could give a class. Thank you for your kind words.

Thanks Yoda, Great Post Martee
Thanks Yoda for all you have done for TGM. This site is exceptional and the quantity and quality of the information you present is unmatched on any forum. I have learned much this past year and hope to continue the process with a visit next summer. Continue the great work and I look forward to seeing a DVD in the future (I am a totally visual guy....gotta see, see, see).
Kevin
Martee,
Great post. I love all the TGM forums available and hope they all continue to florish. I know I will be there to learn and hopefully help others if I can. I do try to post carefully but am not shy about telling others where I get my info, Lynn, Brian, or Chuck. All are doing great things.
Here's hoping the TGM site makes some progress, and the 7th Edition comes out in some form, if only to try to capture what Homer wanted changed.
To the nicest, most helpful folks I know, TGM golfers.

I hope so , and it will be my pleasure to meet you too.
Going to St Andrews will be a triple pilgrimage for me
First to come back to a devotion site for any good golfer
Second to meet the "Guide"
Third to have some good time to share with good fellows.
I have to plan this meeting (July 2006) , for professional reasons. Do you have any informations about the designed dates?
Thank you

I HAVE TO sit down with Yoda very soon to coordinate our calendars. He's had so much to do, but we have to get the dates secured. I'll talk to him about it today or tomorrow.

Thanks Lynn
I am new to the site, but not new to the search but your post brings to mind the opening lines of "IF" by Rudyard Kipling.
"If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you"
Pioneers have to be a hardy breed because the frontier that they cross now is not the plains of the old west, but the unplowed and unfertilized field of the minds of the masses, and THEY DON'T LIKE IT.
Keep up the good fight.

The Turnip Truck . . .
Not being an AI and not being part of all the politics, I didn't understand what the Irrepressible Revolutionary thread was all about. Now I'm starting to see it.

Thanks for the Inspiration
Gentlemen,
I just wanted to offer my appreciation for the forum. Few in the past have offered or seem to grasp the nexus between the philosophical and cerebral elements of The Golfing Machine the way that the contrubutors to this forum have. It is nice to know that I'm not alone. Looking forward to the future as we all move forward. Thank you all.

Thanks, BlackLabelPro, for your comments. We appreciate them. Also, congratulations on your first post and becoming LBG Member No. 2,100. A nice round number!
The 'word' about LBG seems to be getting out. We hit the 2,000 Member milestone on February 1st, and in the past two weeks have added 100 more. We continue to work diligently behind the scenes to prepare for the floodgates that will open upon our anticipated international exposure. In the meantime...
Keep your fingers crossed for us, and...
Keep on reading and posting!
