When the wrist is in a cupped position, it is in an 'alignment sense' already thrown away (the left forearm flying wedge is broken). Moving from this cupped, and 'pre thrown away' position back to flat is moving you from a thrown away move, to a flat or even arched position, so you are moving away from throw away.
