I would highly recommend a visit with Lynn to anyone that wants to get "the rest of the story".

My personal journey in
TGM began in 1979 with the 4th.
One year later, over the phone,
Homer Kelley himself assisted me in its understanding.
Then, came the 5th. Along with his personal apologies for the inept printing effort of the 4th that caused the spine to come unhinged. In which effort he had laboriously applied himself -- one by one -- corrective strips (back and front) to the hundreds of books unshipped. Today, I guess, the mantra is 'just sue'em' and hope to get your money back. Not so with Homer. Faced with a difficult business decision, he elected to "take what ya got and make it work!".
Later, in January 1982, I was with him for a week. There, he passed out with pride our brand new "6ths". A few months later, to quiet my persistent begging, he sent me a copy of the
first edition, along with an invoice for $7.50. Many years later, I acquired the second and third editions.
Yesterday at Cuscowilla, I trained a 24-year old PGA professional in these same principles and procedures. He had in hand the posthumously published
7th edition. I signed
that book --
that edition . . . but in my own mind, I signed more. In fact, I signed
seven.
More important, that young professional left with a more authoritative Short Stroke.
Also, a more structured and precise Long Stroke.
Finally, a more complete concept for his students.
Indeed, he left with nothing less than a
new approach to the Game.
